POINT BLANK was formed in the mid 1970's by guitarists Rusty Burns and Kim Davis, vocalist John O’Daniel, drummer Buzzy Gruen and bassist Phillip Petty. By 1981 they had six studio albums under their belt, resulting in Billboard Top 100 hit songs... and a reputation as THE hardest touring band around, playing 250+ venues yearly.
They've seen it all, done it all, and survived it all. They've performed with just about anyone you can think of. On more than one occasion they stole the show. Do you remember now? Although they didn't always get the recognition they deserved, their fans remained loyal and are still fans today. In 2005 they had a great response performing at a benefit in Fort Worth, Texas. The show was released on CD and entitled RELOADED.
The reviews and fan reaction have been tremendous, including an entirely new generation of Southern Rock fans. So the spark was ignited, and they agreed it was time to write new material, get back into the studio, and hit the road. After successful European tours in 2007 & 2008, Point Blank is ready to blaze a trail to your neck of the woods... or town, city, or even country! The music HAS and ALWAYS WILL be there. The same can be said for our slogan too.
